Welcome

Welcome to the NSC requirements for Healthcare in the nation of Kaldus. While there will be another site on the topic of Health1 which will be the healthcare system, this site will go into detail of what’s required, and how everything will work together. The healthcare site will define what is required to be paid, and what kind of care the nation will be allowed to have. All of this is designed to make the lives of the citizen easier, and with one less worry. Many industrialized countries, the citizen can walk into an emergency room with a legitimate emergency and not be billed for something that might be life or death.

The healthcare system will be a single payer system. This means that the national government will provide for the cost of healthcare. This means there is no health insurance companies, no out of network doctors, and no worry about whether a pharmacy is in network. Instead, all doctors, pharmacies, and even ambulance rides are considered as in network. If the ailment needs to be addressed with treatment, or a drug – then the national government covers for that. This will actually save the government money, and be a complete stress relief from the citizen. The only exception to this is non-citizens will have to pay into the system if they wish to have healthcare coverage. If they do not, and need to see a doctor, they will be responsible for the costs of the visit.

There will be pharmacy networks. A pharmacy network is a group of pharmacies that would support the patient. The healthcare system will be required to cover class 1-3 drugs. There might be perks for using one pharmacy network over another, but most of the time, it would make more sense to use the same network. Most patients will likely choose the pharmacy closest to them. If the patient does not have a pharmacy to disclose to the doctor, then the doctor will send prescriptions to the closest pharmacy, and provide the address and telephone number of the pharmacy.

Every doctor licensed to practice in Kaldus will be an in network doctor. This will mean all doctor visits will be included, and there is no such thing as an out of network doctor. A doctor can prescribe Class 2-4 drugs, and must provide Class 1 drugs directly to the patient as needed. This will require prior approval with the FDA since these drugs can be potentially dangerous.
